Hi everyone having not rode a vespa for probably 40 years now I'm considering buying one for my 60th birthday and for my retirement. I once owned a rally 200 along with a PX150 back in the UK and now im living in Australia have come accross a Rally 200 1972 for sale which is quite rare for over here! It's located interstate so might be buying via info and photos.....it looks good in the photos etc and it's a genuine Australian delivered Rally but one thing jumped out in the description which I'm unsure about
Here is part the description that I'm not sure about "Converted to the more reliable Ducati ignition with genuine parts" I know some of the history and know of the person who sold it to the vendor and that hes well respected when it comes to restoring vespas.
Anyhow was wondering if anyone could shed light on the ducati ignition and is this good or a bad thing!

It's a good thing, so wouldn't be to concerned, stator plate, flywheel and cdi change , so no points to keep adjusting. But you could always swap back

The ducati electronic ignition was startard fitment on the later Rallys as the forerunner to the P200E
Definately a good thing
