I’m sure I’ve asked this before, opinions on cylinder upgrade kits please. Plus, I’ve heard of a stelvio kit, sounds like a dodgy Italian geezer to me… 🤠 Thinking I am going to go for a DR on one lump, got a couple other engines… I want a bit of extra oomph but I’m not changing much else (upjetting carb, expansion pipe etc), so no 60mm strokers etc. My money is not folding stuff, I level up tables with 2p coins or dodgy bar mats… 😶🌫️🫠

The Dr kit is a good solid reliable upgrade, think there is a Facebook group, just for the dr kit. Fitted one to the other halfs scooter and it never let her down, and she was doing lots of miles then. Kit wise after that if you just want to bolt something on and not mess around with other parts, I wouldn't bother, because they are higher end tuning and work best with all the associated upgrades, eg clutch crank gears carb porting. Stick with dr and save your money 👍. My bgm motor ended up over 2k 😒

Adrian, what are your thoughts on the VMC cast iron super G. Is it similar to the DR?

Sorry I don't know much about the vmc kit , but a friend said they are a good kit, similar to the dr

So after doing a little research the vmc kit does look to be better than the dr kit, but only time and user input will give a better picture

Hi new to this I wondered if anyone can answer what is probably a stupid question if the engine has seized would it freewheel in neutral?

Yes it will freewheel in neutral if the piston has seized. If it won't freewheel you have bigger problems 😒
