I know it's unlikely that this will effect many people here, but for what it's worth;
If anyone is thinking of getting a scoot from Guernsey, beware the hidden costs.
Not only will you need a new MOT, you will need a type approval and customs clearance after you've paid the VAT on the book value of the bike and not what you paid for it.
I imported a Vespa to IOM and so far it has cost me over £150 for a £300 ET2. Mind you, road tax is only £5 and it'll never need another MOT.
