Hi my 2001 px200 indicator warning light won’t work so was wondering could I connect a a small bulb holder to put in the speedo and connect it to the indicator buzzer wires in the toolbox. Cheers

Can't see why that wouldn't work 👍

Hello. I think that's a super idea.

Would you not be better resolving the problem than resorting to a heath robinson approach.
Strip the top off and do some testing...
It most likely a break in wiring, bulb, bulb holder and at worst corroded printed circuit on speedo. All parts are availble

I had a speedo lamp fail, (might have been the Lights-On one) - replaced the bulb first but still not working.
Traced with difficulty to a circuit break somewhere on the loose flexible plastic printed-circuit on underside of the speedo. Not easily repairable with solder - not apparently available for purchase, seems only obtainable in a whole new speedo.
Repaired using a short link wire, one end crimped on the underside of a working bulb, and other end on underside of the "failed" bulb. I trapped the wire at both ends, on underside of bulbs as it half-turn-screws through the loose printed circuit and into the board.
(Cannot exactly remember but it must have been an earth line - as this would clearly not work for a live line - perhaps I could have linked from the "dud" bulb and securely-connect to a better suitable earth point)

I wasn't aware. Maybe he should have a warning light himself?

No not aware of anyone, was meaninng a complete speedo unit, but thinking aloud, could a cheap lml speedo be a donor?

I try to connect a buzzer in the tool box with the wire there and all l got back was just one side the left side that makes a noise !! Trying out All different connection and still only one side would work ,!! So I trash it!! As for the printed circuit under your Speedo be careful when removing the Speedo !! What l have done was to careful taped it with insulation tape and was lot easier changing out with out braking the Speedo !! What a stupid way to do the circuit !! Best foot forward soulboy74 ✊
