Do any one know if you need to up the main jet after changing out the cat exhaust system to just a standard exhaust one ? Now I read that vespa down jetted the main jet because of the cat exhaust system so going none cat exhaust to standard one should you go up a jet or two because of that change back !! Just a thought! as l don't see any over 125 standard vespa with a 96 jet in it they are 98 or so !! 🏴☮️

96 was the mj for the oil injection, non oil injection is usually next size up.
If it were me go 98 and see what happens, it likely wont make any difference.
it woukd be a tiny bit richer, but easily burned off. Check plug and come back down if need be

Nice one yes I am at 98 main jet after the air filter drilling modifications and l am sticking to that for now !! 🤞 Just can't help being a tinker it's in my mind set vespa looking hot now just need it to go faster don't like the ped heads taking the PSS and flying buy stay lucky soulboy74 🏴

When I changed my exhaust to a big bore I made sure the carb wasn't running lean in the lower revs where the real damage can occur. Changes I made. Pilot jet 55/160 Mixer stayed as a BE5 Air corrector 120 Main jet 98 Drilled air filter. I also changed the throttle slide to an earlier version but without stripping the carb I can't remember what. I think it was a number 8. I've had zero problems since this.

Nice one for the heads up on the settings 👍 l am on a 98 main jet after the air filter drilling modifications and all seems very similar to the original settings just a bit more responsive on the get go when I Go sip 2 l will follow you settings for a start ! and see if this PX 125 response well ! Just need to get some more different types of jets in got all the main one just need them other in as well just in case of any changes needed ! Who's the best to get them off ?? as l have been getting the main jet off different sites and different maker keep coming sip/ del/ s"l / O / 96-106 so any information about type to get will help me load's ✌️ peace and love soulboy74

Nice one mate l will have a look see best get a good range in for keeps and work will need to learn how they work on vespa have a fare understanding as l had lambretter before in the old days ! Just wish I kept them all but Hay we live and learn okay thanks again soulboy74 ✊

Right after doing a change out of old cat down pipe piece and then drilled air filter modified and changed out main jet a few times !! I have settled on a 97 main jet and it is sweet and running well as can be!! Small steps but Hay it's a big improvement in performance!! And still very standard set up with out cat part !! Hitting 50mph easily now 👍 best foot forward soulboy74 🏴☮️
