Now I have been reading other posts about why I don't go faster than 40 mph on my PX Vespa 125 not sure if this could be happening to mine just don't want to go faster than 40 ish how do I know if my carb is letting in air ?? I have a new rubber seal for the top of the carb if I change it out will that work !! ever other grommet looks good but not the top one !!is it a easy change out !! Any advice most welcome ✊ soulboy74 peace ☮️

Maybe change the gasket under the carb and carb box . The rubber seal around the top won't make a difference.

Its not the carb box letting the air in. Consider the box is connected to a bellow, to allow air into it from under seat to feed the carb.
If an engine is pulling air in ie running week its from the cylinder, studs, casing or a loose carb or a cracked carb.
Take carb off and box off, make sure all surfaces are good and flat rebuild with new gaskets and a little sealant.
I can't see that been your problem. A unrestricted standard px125 should do 55mph at least.

Change your cdi to a zeus. Mine would struggle to keep 45mph too. Bag o sh*te. In 4th it won't rev far enough to get any real power. Do you think that's what's happening you you soul boy. You feeling the limiter?

Yes I think your right there it's the rev restrictions your right that was my first thought 👍 so I will just get use to 40 mph for now until I get some help with the bigger job needed not just a quick job so I have been told do you have to do anything with the stators l have changed out a CDI plug in and play type ! But Hay never opened up the fly wheel !! Any advice most welcome ✊ soulboy74 🏴

All you must do to fit it is remove fan shroud then It's just two nuts then conect the connector. You don't touch the flywheel or stator. Lemon sqweezey. Proper plug and play.

Right it's the same as changing out one for one ! ? The plug part that on this has the same connection for the zenus one ? Remember this is a 2015 model !? When I lost spark early last year l had to get a replacement one and it's not the one's on the early models the pin's are different on the plug part that comes out from the stator ! Or do I have to change that part too ?? Love to put one on this!! Best advice most welcome soulmate's ✊☮️ peace Soulboy74

Im sure Readspeed would be helpful if you bought one. Ive not fitted one, but its only a replacement CDI so wont be that difficult.
Last one i derestricted was done with SIP pipe, ducati style stator, electric start flywheel with toothed ring removed and ducati cdi... Plus a DR180 kit. Removed the starter motor as thats a big heavy lump
