Before you start changing jet's, see how it runs, and try this at half throttle and check plug, then full throttle and check plug, and go from there. There is a good section about this on scooter help website 👍

Thanks for that l will ! I have just got back from a test ride after doing the change out of air filter and I put a 98 main jet in ! And boy o boy it's a lot more responsive on the get go no boging so far but Hay l only did a few miles lot quicker in the gear's l will check the plug as well ! The only thing is that it seems to be seeping a little bit more oil from the sump gasket !; But she always did a bit on short rides !! Don't be able to stop that from happening !!

Glad your scoot is responding to your work. Now test ya plug. You'll probably want to up jet by a size or so. You could leave the main and go down an a/c size. Who knows not me you'll have to look at ya plug. Don't neglect your starter jet if it won't calm down after it's racing. Wanna race?

Thanks for your help and I have been and checked the plug after a few miles today and it's the same as before a chocolate brown ish but no build up of any kind so I am happy with it 98 main jet seems to be the sweet spot but Hay l will keep a eye on it each week just to make sure 🤞 one other thing was ! I have been reading about the ovel hole in the air filter need to be closed off !! Or am I reading it wrong ??

Oh no I'd leave that alone. If its running sweet don't tinker. I tinker some times, its really no good.

Okay thanks for the that I know you are right about all vespa tings !! But Hay it's all good and a learning curve for me got my eyes on a lml vespa for sale just to think with and learn how the entire engine works !! Are they worth getting hold of and are they just the same as the PX engine mostly ?? The 2T one's!! Just wondering

Yep they are like for like. I've seen different fixings and brackets used but overall same thing. Good idea if you want to learn. Blow one up use the other. Then fix ready for when you need it next time it blows. The Indian kits of nuts and bolts are a real bargain. I got one and it gave me years worth of bits to use. Worth considering.
