I'm Mike Ryerson, I'm an American currently living in Texas. I've owned many scooters over the years, presently down to two (presumably my last two), a 1974 Rally 200 and a very nice 1977 P200E. I recently sold my SS180. I came here (to this website really as a visitor) to enlarge my information base. You can never know too much. I've enjoyed lurking through, reading some of your threads. Maybe now I've registered I might be able to offer up some of my experience and perhaps ask for some guidance. Hope to speak with some of you soon. M

Hello there - welcome to the club. You have 2 of the best from Piaggio! Does the P200e have indicators? Thanks citydaz. Yes my P2 is fitted with the indicators, a mile-per-hour only speedo w/neutral light, the 'tractor' taillight and a kill switch. The only American market component missing is the fuel lever, mine being fitted with the much better European three position lever. With a manufacture date of Jul 77, that makes this a very early American market P200. 1978 is generally the date given that P200s, with the US market modifications, were built and exported. Mine has fewer than 5,000 miles on the odometer.

Howdy y'al. I've heard every thing in texas is bigger. Love that. I ain't messin' with texas. No way Jose. Well, Texas has it's charms but the bluster is mostly driven by their insecurity. We are from California originally and came to Texas because of a job and have stayed now because my son grew up here.

I bet its lovely scootin weather. I think Cali and texas sound just super. Well California has seen a change in her weather the last few years but still provides enough good or mild weather for most outdoor sports. And California drivers are generally considerate towards bicycles and scooters. On the other hand, Texas weather can be quite severe and unpredictable. And Texas drivers, except around Austin, are typically aggressive types. My wife is not happy that I still ride a scooter. But I pick my spots, ride on Sunday mornings or in Galveston, and avoid exchanging words with some jackass. If you're coming to the States and intend to scoot while you're here I recommend California wholeheartedly. Best, M

Oh dear you just don't need it on a ride out do you. Sours one's day. Yes. It can ruin an otherwise lovely day and being a hothead I could get myself shot. Or forced off the road. Not worth it. Better as little eye contact as possible. M

Best foot forward soulboy74 🏴☮️✌️ peace and love!! Thanks soulboy, nice to be here. Gi? Not familiar with the term, I'm afraid. Love my scoots. When they're running well, nothing better. When they're off a notch becomes a love/hate relationship I'm afraid.

Yes with you on that score ! As for the Gi !! It was a name given to our brothers in arms in the great war's best regards soulboy74 peace ☮️ Ah GI! Over here we capitalize both letters. I'm from a family full of GIs. My father and all of my uncles served during the war. My uncle George was in the 8th Air Force stationed in England and my uncle Art was wounded on D-Day at Omaha Beach. We have strong ties to you guys or would that be chaps? Good on ya.
