Major bummer. Restrictions in Cdi Stator Exhaust Flywheel There all as bad as each other. All can be sorted out or replaced. For emissions. Don't blame Gretta. Not her fault.

I think the best thing after drilled filter and exhaust is get yourself a zeus cdi. It's the best! your current cdi is a real bad sort and restricts the revs. Stealing at least a good 1000 to 1500 revs off you. The swine. But the zeus frees you of these restrictions Super duper bit of kit. Good luck with her. Never mind chasing the dream, I'm living the the dream. X Got more lives than next doors cat X

Stick a kit on it. Nothing too crazy, either a DR or a Polini should help you keep your licenseโฆ. I had a Polini on mine just so I could outrun the twist and go mob

Youve already got the bike. The fun is throwing money at it.... Youve got a solid frame then stick with it. Its still a good late PX125 motor at heart which is bullet proof, just restricted as said already.
Ive done a couple, its no more than a days graft..owners have been very happy
DR kit, SIP2 exhaust, drilled filter and carb rejet Swapped out the stator for the earlier ducati type, matching elect stat flywheel, i removed the heavy stator motor, so toothed ring remived from flywheel and a ducati cdi.
Big improvement for not a lot of work
Anyone good with spanners near you?

Your at the top of a very slippery slope. I know all about that slippery slope, the bill for my 187 motor is over 2k plus labour ๐ฑ but worth every penny for the smile it puts on my face, even when I blew it up while having fun with a transit van,

Mines blown up so often I wouldn't put the poor sod up against an ice cream van. Oh another top end needed, how super! It's only been 6months since I bought the last one. Face it, We're beyond help. Got to love it.

Ive have a very reliable tuned P2 and munched loads of rally miles, its about working out what you want and building them carefully. Most will fail with badly set up ignition and carb jetting.
Some kits in my opinion are a step to far on standard casings.

My view is best setting up the carb on a dyno and use quality ignition and strobe it up to make sure its spot on

Nice two ear you guys and the fun these vespa bring to all our lives!! I got mine out yesterday for a quick spin just to keep the oils flowing through been in doors for 3 moon's and pow 3 kick off and purring nicely again !! Then clunk click here l go again just love it still on standard set up only the cat part removed with the granini down pipe piece and I think it is powerful than most other standards but Hay you guys that smell of 2 stroke better than I thought just waiting now for spring weather hopefully soon !! Best foot forward !! Peace and love soulboy74 โ

Now after doing some research on the 2011+ vespa PX and reading about All them restrictions !! Don't ! See them as restrictions But improvements and work with your scooter and not change what you have ! With just a little bit of thought you will find your new vespa PX is far more turned already ! Now all I have done was changed out just the cat part of the exhaust system and kept the box with a manifold by granili then drilled air filter 5/8 mills up main jet to 98. And you lose 95% restriction and keep all the inprovement made by vespa technical team ๐ Bob your uncle and very cheap to boot. Stay lucky you guys peace and love soulboy74 โ

Don't forget the later engines were set to run very lean to get through Euro emissions. I would highly recommend you also change the carb jetting to earlier model settings, this is not just the main jet, but also lower down the rev range. The pilot jet, the throttle slide and the air corrector jet.

You well maybe right But inprovement made by vespa have taken All that into consideration and as long as you don't do extra turning and stay standard set up everything alse is taken into account ! But Hay yes ever man's vespa is just that little bit different ! So just keep a eye on how she runs best for you ! Keeping the faith and best foot forward soulboy74 ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ๐
