Hello good evening, i have recently got a Vespa 150 1963, i am just after some more info on the scooter, it seems very clean for a 1963 and something just does not seem to ring true, i have tried to research chinese copies of the bikes but simply cannot seem to clarify if i have a genuine bike, any help greatfully received, thanks in advance. the reg number is AMO 355A

Your scoot was first registered in the UK in 2008, so is likely an import, it did look like an age related plate you have. Last logbook applied for was August 2020. AMO appears to be a Berkshire reg, but again this means nothing as with age related plates, you get the next available one.

Thanks for the info, there was a few bits that just seemed to clean/new and it just had a feel about it that something wasn’t quite right, I assume it still has a value? It has done only 87 km

You could ask the DVLA to find out any more history, my guess it’s either a Spanish, Indian or an Italian import (Russia did have some too 😶🌫️). This doesn’t mean it’s worth nothing, check the MOT history on it, more than likely had a rebuild at some point.
