Hi all,
Was a regular here years back but been a good while since I dropped in.
I've a PX 200E Arcobaleno and gear shift has gone completely loose with no action in cables looking at the selector box end. I'm not much of a mechanic (spark plug, tyre/wheel and clutch cable change about the extent of my skills!) but took headset off and had a butchers. Thought it would be a snapped cable at first but found the clip on the pulley has sheared. Didn't notice initially as it was still completely in place, but when I touched it the bit on the outside separated completely leaving just the middle bit of the clip in the centre of the pulley. When I turn the shift the pulley doesn't turn. Hope this makes sense? Took a vid I can upload if not.
Is it just a case of fishing the bit out of the middle of the pulley with some pliers and then guiding a replacement one in? Should I be able to do this with the pulley installed as is? Any other tips appreciated!
Ta,
Dan

Yes just remove remaining bit of old R clip and put a new one in, might be an idea to check and replace the pulley at the same time, because they do wear out as they are only plastic

If you buy a new pulley be careful as there are some very poor ones, bad fit and brittle. Buy geniune if you can, the bad ones are a strange yellowy colour.
