Hi, I'm rebuilding my px125 and and I wonder which way round the driveshaft roller bearing should go in, as the bearing has a flat faced edge and a more rounded edge. This is my 2nd rebuild so I'm not sure if I put it in correctly last time.

Use the chamfered side down, ie the face that goes into the casing

Cheers for that. I suspected that might be the case, but I wasn't entirely sure. Is it worth getting the correct punch to install it? It struck me as quite easy to damage if driven in incorrectly and the proper punch has a shoulder that fits into the rollers.

Ive always warmed the casing and drifted in with a very large socket ive got. Never had any issues. As long as you work on the outer part of the bearing. The main thing is not to drive it to far if the casings are the ones with the cast stops, they are very easily broken off.
