Hi, I am buying PX200 as a winter project. All standard except a SIP 2. I am going to strip the motor and replace bearings and seal etc, but was also considering one of the BGM "standard" cylinders with slightly better ports than original and also fitting it with a 60mm crank as I have chance to buy one cheap.
I was after peoples experience of these kits/set up. I cant afford an expensive alloy kit, I just wanted a bit more touring/cruising power.
Thanks,
Nick

I run run the bgm187 with 60mm crank and I'm very happy with it, the cases are ported and welded to get the maximum from the kit, would recommend bgm kits, not the most powerful, but well worth the money and happy with the performance

Is that on a 200 engine? I was looking for just a bit more useable power without loads of work and expense. Thanks

No ots on a px150 engine, but bgm will work well without going mad, loads of toque

If it were me i would use the piaggio top end and get a Harry Barlow stage 4 tune. If required get rebore and new piston, Harry does a thin ring type. Use the 60mm crank and the SIP R2. Drilled air filter Back the timing to 18deg (IT mark) Richer pilot jet required (standard is 55/160 =2.9, go 50/40 = 2.8 ) and a 125/122 mj Far better than the BGM top end end and will come in around the same cost. Will give you more than the BGM

gpowell have you goy one on your scooter? Sounds good as I'm after a reliable, torquey machine that doesn't need constant rebuilding.

Ive had a HB tuned and RS Tuning standard top end on P2s both were excellent.. The RST predated the HB.
Currently running a Chiselspeed tuned Autisa top end. Great piece if kit. Bottom end tuned,T5 4th gear, match airbox, increased inlet, 26mm SI carb, SIPR3, drilled filter. Excellent for long hauls, still fairly good on juice and bulet proof reliable 60mm crank would be good addition
