Rebore

Right, I’ve removed my cylinder to check for any junk that might of fallen in when I changed the engine mounts the other day, anyway looking at the piston I’d say it needs a rebore to the next oversize 66.7 mm I believe, I’ve measured the gap in my piston rings at 4 different heights in the cylinder and it’s coming in at 0.80mm which is meant to be tops 0.40 mm so I’m guessing rebore plus the piston has some score marks on the skirt, other than TASS in Margate who else would be able to rebore the cylinder ?

yeah I’ve dealt with Beedspeed and it’s not something I’d ever wish to repeat, it was a nightmare trying to get my money back for some bits that they never sent out

Steer clear of Beedspeed, they dont do the boring just farm it out and with their rep on supplying parts...
TASS will likely farm it out, but their rep is pretty good. Ive had good parts off them. Assuming TASS are near you.
I use a motorbike engineer near me, i take the piston and tell him what i want clearance, he is in teesside i drop it off and collect next day. Any good motorbike engineering with boring facilities can do it. Scooter shops JB Tuning and Harry Barlow are good and do their own boring
