Piston broke?

Top ring is off now, piston is soaking in vinegar which will hopefully free the other. 

I've already started cleaning the top of the piston but that burn on the side is bothering me.

Does it need replacing, or will it be fine to reuse once I've freed the other ring? 

Barrel looks fine, no scratches. Scoot has not been run for 30 years, engine has under 3k miles on it.

Thats reuseable
Get the ring out, clean the piston with WD40 and wire wool or very fine emery paper, make sure its properly cleaned and free from any wool residue.
Clean the the ring groove out with a needle file
Check the bore to piston gap is in tolerance, if okay new rings (gapped) and a very light hone/deglaze the cylinder bore.

Yes, I did that this afternoon, I think it's looking a tad better now.
