Whilst changing the seat on my 2011 Vespa PX150 the socket fell off & into the air intake. Doh! In trying to get it out it fell further down. Double Doh!
Can I get to it by removing the bellows? I would have tried but noticed the bellows have started to perish & therefore needs to be replaced. Is there any issue with riding with the socket where it is?
Regards Richard

The only thing that could happen is the socket might jam the throttle open or closed, would probably be a good idea to rescue the socket. When you buy new bellows get a quality replacement, I bought a cheap one and it fell apart in less than 2 months π . Bought another from ve UK and its still good after over a year

Also if you take carb box top off, you might see the socket π

Thanks.
Will definitely try to retrieve the socket.
I replaced the bellows a few years ago, there's cracking on the rim where it connects to the frame, apart from that looks OK. Think I got it from All Styles Scooters or Ron Daley.

That's about the time bellows should last, and they are both dealers that sell good quality products π

OK, thanks.
Just been to All Styles Scooters to get some bellows & a few other bits as I was in the area.

Just lift the tank, 10 mins and you'll have retrieved it.

Thanks.
I did wonder whether that was an option. If I can't retrieve it when I replace the bellows then I'll lift the tank.

I always remove the tank when doing the bellows, just to help get it on the frame properly

Had to remove the tank to retrieve the socket. Not being very mechanically minded the thought of removing the tank was a bit scary. A few YouTube videos & Haynes manual I managed to do it without much hassle, hardest part was getting it back in especially the fuel tap. With the help of a bit of string it was soon back in place.
Fitted the new bellows with aid of some washing-up liquid!
Thanks for your help. Richard
