Hi peeps My vespa T5 classice has been brill till 3 days ago.
I stript the carb and clean it and put a new spark plug in yesterday thinking thats will sort it but i went out on it today and its still not kick starting after i stop.
It bump starts really easy.
Could it be the CDI ?

Could be the CDI. They can go bad when they get hot. It's also nice to have an extra laying around for emergencies.

Is there definitely no change in the 'normal' running of the scoot?is not starting after warming up the only symptom? How is the tick over when hot ? Is it erratic? Does it pull smoothly through the revs? Does it want to stall? Is it getting too hot too fast? I ask because It could be a leak. But need more info.

Aahh just read it bump starts ! Mmmmm maybe cdi. Mmmmmm new ht plug and cap? Stator and flywheel should be OK if bump starting. Oh dear. Any more info?

No change in running, the tik over is fine and i have been out on it for a good hour and the tik over was fine after. It pulls smoothly through the revs and no sign of it stalling it does run great like it allways have. I put my prob on the a T5 group on FB and two guys are saying its the stater but like one of yous seid the stator and flywheel should be OK if bump starting. I had the same thing happen with a 125 2t LML star deluxe around 15 years ago. I replace the ignition coil and the prob was fix.

Update I got a new HT lead with a new plug and that has done the job so all is good guys think you for the help.
