They both look OK to me 👍 but looks are only skin deep, hopefully you will come to love one of these old scooters and have many happy hours riding and repairing, without the stitches 😁

If you are going to do a restoration then the important things are being all there, and running OK, as you will be stripping everything and replacing bearings seals cables , the list goes on, if you are happy with the price, go for it, just remember that you will spend double what you think it will cost doing the restoration. I know this after doing a couple of restorations myself, and I'm restoring an ape at the moment, and I'm already over budget 🙃, but it's all good as long as the other half doesn't find out 😁

Hello I think if you want an old boy like you say its better buying one not done up. Buy an honest condition one. You can see what you looking at if some one hasn't just tarted up an (overpriced) death trap. I was told to look out for weird kickstand and check under the tank there's often and old can of coke under there if your thirsty.
