Hi All
I bought a Vespa that I am rebuilding but the engine and frame are different. None of the parts of the engine make sense and i need to order new parts for the engine. The engine number is VNB2M *016307* the motor comes up as a 125cc when I do a search but is has a 2 port 150cc cylinder on it. Anyways there are two parts i need and brings about great confusion as i dont know what to order:
1. The clutch cog gear rivets have play in them. The rivets and the holes where they go into measure 2.6mm in diameter. The only clutch cog rivets I can find is 2.9mm. I though of just ordering a new clutch but nothing exists for a VNB. the clutches that are available measure 45mm in thickness whereas mine measures 40mm in thickness. I would like to replace the clutch cog gears as well but the back plate (the plate riveted to the gears) is completely flat whereas the other back plates I see have a small step in them.
2. The input gear shaft (Xmas tree) takes needle bearings on the one side. Mine had 22 in and I can only order packs of 21. If I put 21 in then there is a gap a bit bigger than 1 roller. Should this bearing not be a full compliment bearing? the shaft where these rollers run on measures 12.8mm in diameter and the rollers are 2mm in diameter x 11.7mm long.
I have checked sip scooters and scooter west and cant find out more info.
