Looking for some thoughts and advice about a creaking type noise I have got coming from a Vespa PX 125. If the scooter is sat and not been ridden for a few hours theirs no noise when it's pushed off the stand and wheeled the few yards from my shed to the road. However after riding it when I wheel it into position to park or back to my shed from the road it's making a noise. It's as though when it has been weight bearing the noise comes I have jacked it up their is minimal freeplay on the back wheel and rotates with no such noise. Any thoughts of what to check or anyone who has had a similar problem that they have overcome would be appreciated. mine's creaked for the last 20 years ..just had to get used to it

What about the front wheel any play , also check for any swarf around the back plate area on front and rear , mate had same years ago , it was the front wheel needle bearings grinding , I spotted swarf on the front inner rim.

Fingers crossed it was the rear shock as the noise seems to have disappeared since I replaced it.
