Acquired this MK1 T5 a couple of weeks ago, engine was rebuilt at rayspeed in North Yorkshire (in 2019) and has never run since previous owner gave up.
I've put a new genuine fuel tap and line, cleaned carb and the jets and I can't get fuel to the plug no matter how many times I've kicked it over.
Fuel gets to the carb ok by looks of it.
I'm sorry I bet it's been asked hundreds of times, I did try Search
Any help would be appreciated Matt

Hello there sounds like blocked jet but you can take air filter off and then the top of float chamber to see if it's full of petrol after that take main jet out to checked it. Then put a thimble full of petrol down carb intake then try and start it after switching on let us know how you get on cheers alan.

Hi Ebormatt, I have something similar and I was given some advice on here. Open throttle fully when kicking over, with air filter off you should see fuel getting into the air intake from carb. Might not start but "should" be able to prove fuel getting that far.

Well I've taken jets out and made sure they were clear.
Found a problem today though, put compression tester on and it's only got 50psi. Engine has rebuilt 2 years ago but has never ran since, could a ring be stuck or something?
Engine was rebuilt by a well known scooter specialist in Yorkshire, so I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt of they've not done anything wrong

Well to keep you all posted, had it in a well known local scooter shop to me.
The clutch was slipping that much it wouldn't let the engine turn over properly?
It runs, so they're just going through it now to see what else needs sorting. Happy days I'll have it back next week all being well
