I sprayed my px a couple of years ago, unfortunately not too successfully. She is currently awaiting a complete strip down and re-spray when I retire. Regarding the underside and wheel arch, should I stone chip and then re-spray or just prime and spray onto bare metal? I quite fancy Mazda soul red. |

I have just sprayed my frame. I stripped back to bare metal, then under wheel arch and floor I used a zinc rich paint, them primer the whole frame, then rubbing back, except wheel arch, under there I sprayed an underseal an couple of coats then left it to dry for a few weeks, then more primer over it all,so when I top coated, I could spray everywhere, there are stages I missed out, but that should give you an idea. Some underseal you can't paint over . It said on the can.

Should say that I first used the galvanized spay on a gts 3 years ago, and there has been no sign of rust yet 👍
