Throttle slide

After rebuilding the carb of my px 125, I turned on the engine and turned off the choke and the Revs went very high while idling.

I noticed that the throttle slide is about a quarter of the way open and idle screw has no effect when turned either way.

If the throttle slide is disconnected from the accelerator cable, the idle screw works normally.

Hello by the sounds of it your cable is to tight. So you are no longer on tick over. Check your outer cable is sitting in its boss correct. And check there is just a little play in cable when attached. Let me know how you get on buddy. You may be able to save having to do another rebuild.
