Howdy. I'm getting close to finishing a long restoration on a Mark 1 T5 and the engine is the last part. I have a new Tameni crank and I am about to heat up the flywheel side bearing race and slip it onto the crank shaft(currently in the freezer). Do I need to keep the 1mm space between the bearing race and the base of the crankshaft? not flush? Same as the p125? thanks for any help..

I can't answer your question, but you might find that an introduction works well on this forum and gets better results. Welcome to the forum 🖐

Hello , please introduce yourself first - but here is what I found out , I looked on SIP website and it is a NO according to there website - could not find the distance tool you require - email them or call another dealer to find out the distance.

Oh I've just read Dave's reply. I'd listen to sip and not me . Maybe go with dave.( Why would the inner but up against the crank when the rest of the bearing dont? And if it gets stuck you can't use a puller?) Ignore me listen to sip.
