Barrel ridge help.

I have got a used barrel which I re-honed in preparation for fitting a new piston and rings but I have noticed a slight  ridge at the top edge of the barrel.
Is it something that may be an issue for the new piston and rings or will it not effect.
The barrel came when the casings and various internals so I'm unsure of its history or mileage of the barrel.

If the ridge is at the top, it should be ok, its where the rings stop in the bore, when the piston goes up.

Yeah that's pretty common that. I wouldn't worry if it's at the top few mm.
