Good afternoon all,
First post on this forum so thanks for having me!
I have an 03’ px125 which I would like to get back into a usable state
The frame has rotted away beneath the back of the fuel tank where the frame meets the cross brace(?) for the rear shock.
Is this a do-able repair? Would I need to drop the engine out completely or could it be done from just taking the frame out?
As you can tell I know nothing about welding so any advice would be great, cheers!

There are plenty of repair panels available, but the costs soon mount up unless you can weld well, something easier to find another frame

Best thing to do if you want it properly repairing , is to get the rotted area shot blasted . to see how far the rust has gone ,then get a good welder to weld it up via mig with 0.8 wire ( welding over rotten metal only slows the rot , it will carry on eating away at the metal.
