Could someone be polite enough to help with an issue I have. Does an italian 1989 PX200 (electric start) engine require an external hub seal or just the metal dust cover. I've fitted the internal seal and the sealed bearing.
I'm restarting my first engine rebuild after a year off and have forgotten my way slightly.

Hello there. I think you just need the dust cover before the locking nut. On my px 125 it has a oil seal then a sealed bearing then dust cover and locking nut .hope this helps try checking on mannual just to make sure good luck cheers alan.

I was originally going off the Scooter Techniques strip and rebuild dvd which says it just needs a dust cover but there is a few rebuild videos on youtube that install an external seal as well as already having fitted a internal one. It's my first time rebuilding a complete engine from the ground up so I'm being extra cautious.
