Hi, girlfriend has an px efl and the electric connection under the headset, bit that connects to the printed cerket board is a little worn out and doesn't always make a good connection, any idea how I can make a better connection with out having to buy any new parts? Mot is due soon, and tail tail lights don't always come on and speedo light only works when it wants to. Any help much appreciated

Maybe a computer repair shop. I had similar repair done. Not entirely sure what you mean? To fix the board ? I think it's only loose connection, so think that if I was able to tighten it up all would be ok

try cleaning block with electrical contact cleaner and very carefully cleaning contacts on ribbon cable with fine wet an dry, be super carefull just try and make it shiny, not sand away, can probably get new block connector if loose, try beedspeed, i do have one knocking about if you want it, no waranty tho, new cable? or new speedo if thats damaged, 20 for cable, speedo likely pricer if not second hand. hate those flexible circuit boards nothin but hassle.

You are not wrong about the flexy circuit board, it's a mk1 px with efl wiring loom and headset, because that's what she wanted. She bought all the partssecond hand and has been nothing but problems ever since. If I can talk her into changing back to original that would be the best solution, but doubt it

could try a bit of masking tape behind ribbon cable to fatten it up too, can get stiffed on the second hand parts or get mint bargain never can tell
