I have just scored all down the side of my beautiful vespa because of some stupid girl who doesn't know how to cross a road!
I went into town after school and slowed down when I was near the bus stop, cause the school bus had just pulled in, then some girl ran across the road and I had to swirved slightly, then I saw her friend about to walk out too, when she saw me and someone pulled her back, then the next thing I know she ran straight out in front of me, I swirved and skidded sideways. I then expected her to stop, but no, she runs off down the street.
I was shaking soo bad.
Someone had to grab the girl and tell her to come back. but then she was in a hurry to catch her ferry, even though, when she ran across the road, she was going in the opposite direction.
I felt so embrassed.
I'm really annoyed though cos only 30 minutes before my friend had said how good and clean my scooter was looking, now it's scored all down the side, the mirrors got huge great scratches through it, the side panel's clip has snapped and is sticking out and my knee really hurts.
I wouldn't have been as annoyed if it was my fault, or she had stopped. But the fact that she ran off, really *cough*ed my off!
RAWR!

aww tht is so unlucky you get some real idiots these days, i kno its not your fault but i hate to say it but you should ride more defensively and be prepared to brake cos people will go for it if they think they can make it, what scoot is it anyway?

That was the problem, I was already braking to miss the first girl, so I couldn't do anything.
It's a Vespa LX50. I've only had it less than 6 months.

That's hard luck, nothing more frustrating. Guess you just have to be thankful you or someone wasn't hurt to bad.
I saw a bloke get run over today at lunch, very unpleasent. I was walking along Oxford Road in Manchester when I heard an almighty bang and saw this lad go flying after a bus had hit him. Was pretty disturbing to see how violently it threw him
I'd not seen what led up to it but I think the guy had just idlely strolled out. You see a lot of students paying little attention to the road in the area, there was someone else killed in the same spot a few week ago.
Anyway, I was the first person to run over to him to see how he was and he was pretty out of it and clearly in pain. There were a lot of people there helping then so I just left them to it. Luckily he didn't hit his head I think .... I can imagine he broke a fair few ribs though ... the bus must have been doing 20 minimum and there was a massive dint and the windscreen was broken. I think the guy was pretty lucky that he wasn't hurt worse. Suppose there is a risk he could have internal bleeding, an ambulance went past me a few minutes later and there is a hospital round the corner so he should have been ok hopefully.
Ok, I'm ranting now ... it just reminded me to take care when I'm on the Vespa.
