Rebuilt, (stripped and checked twice), 1966 Vbb engine. Engine whined before and after a seals, bearings, rebore piston and rings rebuild. I'm told this whine is caused by straight cut primary gearing and is normal. Do any other Vbb qwners have this problem? Want to sell the scoot on but not sure about this problem. It is especially loud on acceleration, leave the throttle go and it disappears.
