Looking at Rally 200's at the moment, the Vespa I've always lusted after.. They do seem to be on the pricey side though, I guess being the last of the 'classic' shape and the biggest motor they should command a premium, but from what I've seen I could get a decent Lambretta for the same kind of money.. Any guidance on what I should be paying? what would top money be for one - £2k - £3k?

Yeah Bryn, the Rally's just one of those sort after models at the moment, I think 2-3k would be about right for a decent one.
One tip someone gave me about them though was, if you go to view one, ask the owner if you can lift the fuel tank and look underneath. Apparently they're bad for rusting from the inside out and if they don't let you look, don't buy.

Cheers, missed out on the one I was looking at, guy was asking £2.5k. One went on Ebay yesterday for £2.3k 1969, totally mint Mk 1 resto, original engine etc, in pale blue, so I think that has to be the ceiling.. I'll be keeping my eyes open
