Facing an uphill battle at the moment and got some more questions for someone who has more experience and knowledge than a novice like me.On my 1998 Vespa px 125 wont start now without putting a tiny bit of fuel in the cylinder head but once it starts it idles fine and will restart after 10 minutes of being off but you leave it an hour or a day and it wont restart without putting a tiny bit of fuel in the cylinder again. Things I have done so far in reverse order cleaned carb, replaced the carb box to case and carb+autolube gasket,It's had a new cylinder and piston kit (standard),New Ht lead, flywheel woodruff key Stator plate,CDI and Spark plug (NGK B6HS).Would really appreciate some thoughts and ideas as in where else to look and other things to try.

Hello first thing I would do when it doesn't start plug out and check for spark. And see if plug is wet .putting petrol in plug hole and it starting sounds like air leak. let us know how you get on good luck alan.

Yes ironsloth I have one of those 90 degree caps. Think I am going to have the engine pressure tested as when I eventually got it going today and switched it off I could hear a whistle like sound that took sometime to stop so I think their is some sort of leak somewhere.
