Hi, a friends wife has asks me to help her get rid of his scooter. They lived in Hong Kong for the last 15 years and at some point he bought a Vespa from Vietnam.
He died this time last year and she is now back in the UK having shipped all their gear back, including the Vespa.
She knows very little about the bike other than it’s a 1965 Vespa, he bought it restored from Vietnam and that he never rode it.
Obviously I’ve googled the topic and have seen all the horror stories but somehow I need to help her out.
Does anyone know a reputable Vespa dealer/mechanic in the Hereford area that could go and have a look at it for her? ( I am in York and wouldn’t know what I was looking for particularly Anyway).
Adam (my deceased mate) was no mug so will have done some level of due diligence, having said that he may well have thought it was cheap enough just to use as a bit of garage art and not worried about ever getting it on the road.
Obviously now she wants to sell it we need to know whether it’s road worthy.
