Hello everybody. can anyone please let me know the best brake pads to use on a 2008 px 125. I changed them in the past for cheap ones but I'm finding front brake doesn't seem to have much bite when braking have cleaned disc and bleed brake every two years but still the same I've heard of splintered pads would they give me a better brake.thankyou for all advice cheers alan.

I have ferodo ones on my px I find them very good compared to the ones before. I did fit a new ebc disc as well

Sintered brake pads are for racing only, they need heat to work. Don’t put them on a road scoot, would void your insurance. I use EBC, as I know one of the guys there, but Ferodo brakes are bloody good too.

I have used nufren brake pads, they were ok, lasted well, only used them because it is what they had in the shop, now using bgm pads and don't notice any difference

One other thing, other halfs front drum brake works , or seems to work better than my front disk 🤨 even after new disk and pads

Is that because you are on it maintenance wise before she nags? At least your other half likes scoots, mine hates owt on 2 wheels....

I am always doing maintenance on one of the scooters, and have to keep hers in tip top condition, so she doesn't have choice about riding, she was going to ride to kelso from Surrey this year, until everything got cancelled because of some bad cold thing 🙄 |
