I'm having trouble fitting and understanding how the steering lock works on my 1964 Sportique.
This has probably been made worse as I may have been supplied the wrong lock.
I fitted it and the moving "flap" part (which locks against the raised chunk of steel welded to the steering fork) only opens so far, then it comes into contact with the inside of the fork tube/housing. As a result of this, the key won't come out in the unlocked position.
I've seen a slightly different type advertised, which has a recess in the flap/locking part and wondering if this is the type I should have.
I would be grateful for any advice.
