Hi, can anyone advise how to fit a new bezel onto a Mk1 P200e Speedo body? My local scooter shop has tried and failed. The bezel is stainless steel and was bought from SIP and seems to be too tough and "springy" to be crimped into position. There was a speedo repair shop i was orginally going to send it to, but they wanted £300 for a full restoration and were not willing to just crimp the bezel in place.
Cheers

The latest is that i found somewhere on the internet, after numerous calls and emails. Its very easy to buy replacement bezels - stainless steel, glass and grommets etc, but nigh on impossible to find someone who is willing to actually crimp them back onto the body of the speedo. Anyway it turns out i sent the speedo to the wrong address, the guy has recently moved, but didnt update his website. He said last week that he would check at the old premises, but i havent heard anything as ive been on holiday this week. I will keep you all posted........ (forgive the pun!)

Good news, spoke to the guy today, hes picked up the speedo from his old premises and has a custom bezel that he will roll onto the outer body. He will perform a service on it so it will work smoothly and reapply the shiny paint on the tip and also add 50 miles to the reading to make up for a run out once when then speedo wasnt working. So far so good.............

Almost, the guy called Saturday morning. He has managed to roll on / crimp on the stainless steel bezel, added an extra 50 miles to the reading, given it a good service and repainted the needle tip. All for a very reasonable £82 inc. post and packaging. Should receive it next week and will give an update then. Cheers Citydaz

Good news, the speedo arrived back this morning, looks like new!, fitted into the headset top like a glove, just need to sort out the wires that had been incorrectly fitted, and should be good to go tomorrow. If anyone one wants this guys details for speedo repairs please PM me. Cheers
Wires now sorted, main beam / low beam, indicator flasher, main beam light, speedo light all work and speedo works really smoothly. Scoot back to how it should be just over 12 months after my spill on the way to Llangollen! ride safe.
