Not in one sitting mind, that would be plain daft. There's a wealth of information here for us novices ... quality resource. Unfortunately I only understood about 2 and a half of the postings in the technical board Reckon I need to get my head in a Haynes manual. Anyway, there is a question in here somewhere. I have a 2006 PX and have been waiting on getting an updated Haynes manual but it keeps getting put back, e-mailed them the other day and they said it will be late 2007 early 2008. So will the current one (goes up to 2003 I think) be worth getting? I can't imagine there is that much difference between the 03 and 06 PX?

My Haynes goes up to '95, not seen a later version than that. I'd say it's worth getting, only things it won't cover are the later mods like disc brake, fundementals are the same. Cheap on Ebay

At last! If only there were more people like you mate, we wouldn't keep getting threads started asking which insurance is the best, what a CBT is and which test to take!
I've got a 2002 PX and a 1967 Sprint, and I do everything from an oily old 80s PX/T5 Haynes Manual (the one with the red Mk1 T5 on the front). It's not ideal, but you can more-or-less work out which bit in the book equates to which bit on the scooter. Having said that I'm not doing any engine overhauls, I just use it for the basic stuff.
Mechanically Vespas haven't changed much over the years, apart from the introduction of autolube, disc brakes and electrics, and like you I can't think of any revolutionary changes on the PX between 2003 and 2006.

Just picked one up on E-bay. Rest assured I won't be attempting an engine overhaul for quite some time, just knowing how to do change a wheel will do me for now

Instead of reading the "chuffin' forum" you should read this one, its much more in keeping with your interest in all things Vespa. Was that www.chuffin.co.uk? :-) (Can't believe this is an actual website, I was only joking)) I wish I had read this earlier, up until the other day I had 2 haynes manuals, the one with the red T5 and the newer one with a silver px I think. I bought a manual while waiting for my Vespa to be delivered and then it turned up with the old manual. I then discovered that the new one had no new information for my old scooter and sold it on ebay for a tenner. The only updated bits were about disc brakes and autolube etc, which are the only difference between your new fangled PX and older ones. (Unless you opted for ABS and traction control haha) Gaz Gaz
