Hi,
I'm working on the fuel system for my Sportique restoration and wondered what the best thing is to do about cleaning the inside of the fuel tank.
Looking through the filler hole, the tank looks generally pretty clean but there's a small patch of rust around the outlet......not too severe though.
I didn't find debris in any of the filters/outlet bowl.
Thanks.

If it's as clean as you say, I would remove the fuel tap and just flush it through with some clean fuel

Many thanks for the replies.
To be honest, I'm inclined to just rinse it with petrol as you say Adrian rather than risking anything bad happening. It does seem surprisingly clean.
Thanks also Ironsloth. That stuff is quite expensive though.
