Just having issues with a late lml 125 2t, always been a great starter and sweet tick over.3 times now after a 10 mile ish shop run it has cut out at junctions not in full flight.1 time couldnt restart and had to be picked up.I have put the oridginal cdi unit back on,the aftermarket one was a loose fit on the loom plug.I have really shined up the earth as well on cdi .Good coil on that i know works. It liked this but did do same thing again, grrr.Started first kick this morning but didnt dare trust it so looked at carb.Cleaned jets out or checked them, had float bowl out ,the jet that you get to under there seemed loose so tightened it up.Put back together and it starts and ticks over, just darent risk a breakdown. It may maybe not be cured. Are the stator/flywheel either working or not or can they be a slow fail? Cheers for any pointers.sorry this is long winded.

Got to be worth the cheapest part and easiest to change, fit a new spark plug, make sure carb jets are the correct size if running standard set up, are you using catalyst exhaust? could exhaust be blocking? Is the air filter clean? These are all the cheap simple things to check so worth starting there. Hope this is a good starting point, once it cuts out check for spark and fuel, if either not present then you will have a heads up about where to look next, make sure fuel tank cap breather hole is not blocked.

Only recently got back to my scooter with all the lock down sitch.managed to cure the lml it seems. The red cdi unit by the battery isnt an lml branded or oridginal factory one.I fitted it last year ,the loom plug is a poor slack fit into it,anyway i still had the oridginal unit.I put that back on(nice tight fit on the loom plug) a good earth and shined up a bit and the problem has gone away..👍
