I've been trying to work out where my carb leak was coming from and realised it's the float cover that's warped. I've ordered a replacement and I'm using the one off my son's px200 for now. Is it possible to fix the warp or shall I give it up as lost cause. The two ends where the bolts go touch the carb top but the middle has a gap which allows it to rock from side to side. I tried to dress the ends with a file but I couldn't get an even surface and probably made it worse.

Replace at that price. By the time you muck about with it on off on off. And it will be on your mind for a long time.
