I'm getting conflicting messages , can my px125 be modified to reach 100kph and will this then enable me to take my full motorcyle test on it ?

i doubt it, at a minimum they would need some form of proof, but it is usually only listed machines that they would allow, you could possibly purchase some T5 stickes though , and take them off after the test, i never went over 40 on my test day, none of my mate either, despite test centre only 1/2 a mile from main A64. i personally think they are more interested in youre driving skills than the machines abillity to reach 60mph. daz

I only got asked about my T5 after the test , he said "is that a 150, I'm sure T5s are 150"... He didn't ask for proof, just saw the stickers I suppose. I spoke to the DSA about it a few weeks before and they said only the T5s can qualify for the Standard-A-restricted-for-2-years-bike-test (A2), definitely not the PXs. I would have gone for 60mph on my test, but it was too windy and he didn't want to take me over the flyover near the test centre. Can you borrow a T5, or take a couple of lessons on a motorbike?

Yep, LM Star or the T5 are the only ones you can use. I would have struggled doing mine on my T5 as I got marked down for doing 65 ish on a dual carriageway (I borrowed a bike), instructor needed to see 69MPH to demonstrate that I knew it was a 70 limit and I was happy to 'take it up to speed'

I've been told both a T5 and an LML will do. I've got both but as I live in the Isle of Man I could take it on a prim 50 and only be restricted for 1 year. (restricted to 50 mph that is.)
