My Sprint's in for its MOT at 2pm today, so with a bit of luck I'll be sat in the queue for a registration number tomorrow morning.

Holy crap this forum's gone quiet lately, I thought with the evenings drawing in it'd be busier than ever. Don't forget there's still stuff going on, even though it's right King Billy out there, so keep an eye on the Gigs and Events lists via the homepage.
Wrexham SC are having a do this Saturday 3rd Dec, then it's Carsy's Toy Run on Sunday 4th. Also, Lancs Alliance are joining a bikers' toy run on Saturday 10th December in Manchester. Details of all these events and more can be found without too much effort in various places on the site.
Should make the long winter evenings fly by.

thought i'd add my little piece to this thread of the past: i must be the only mod daft enough to still be riding through winter regardless of weather ( even went home from work in the one day of snow we had last year). good practice for if i do eventually move to canada! ;D (joke)

pick a kind of warm and wet day and just put your wet gear on nothing else and go for a long ride in the rain. MAGIC! best part of the winter ;D ;D

Love riding at night with the winter moon shining bright on the dark country roads and catching the reflection in the mirrors, chrome and on the sea. the warm steam from exhaust and breath from rider and scooter. The beam of the headlamp catching the odd frosty , ghostly wisp of mist.

We were trying to work out when the joint toy run is at the club last night. There's nothing on the Alliance website. Carsy's is in Chester on Dec 3rd. Seems there's a few things on this weekend. I'm going to see Amy Winehouse at the Academy on Friday so I won't be going to the Soul night. It's the massive Blackpool Soul Weekender oop the Tower, and there's also this new Mod night in St Helens on Sunday (see our gig page for details www.vespa.org.uk/Gig%20dates.htm) but I'll be drinking enough port to sink a ship in the British Legion so I won't be going to that either.

i love going out on my scoot in all weathers, but its deffo more enjoyable when the sun is shining. i kinda like going out when the roads are slippy to with ice or whatever gives me a little thrill, "be careful on that bike" my girlfriend tells me, bike? ah bless her cotton socks, and off i go arse gripping the seat like theres no 2morro. i am careful tho promise going round bends anyway. winter riding is good too, wrap up nice and warm , you need 3 coats, a couple of jumpers , t-shirt and a vest on up here. reach your destination with rosy cheeks. people tend to look at you when its p*shing down, must be thinking "look at that nutter"

Got well buffeted by winds today. near horizontal rain didn't help either. it came from behind so my back was soaked whilst my front was dry at least i wasn't riding in N. London when that tornado ran thru it! now that would have been a ride. even for a posing mod hehehe!
