Personally i would try and get a proper 200 lump if you can. I would imagine that some modification would be required for the 200 4T, but someone better qualified should be able to advise.

Cheers daz, not in any rush as engines fine,so I’m watching out for one. Just thought it would be an alternative, thought it would fit straight in. Just not sure with it being 4t. Then someone who knows them might say if they’re fantastic or crap might just buy a px125,,with a 200 engine and swap them, Dont tell the misses, Then I got 2 🛵🛵 👍

The Mrs might notice... mine just shakes her head in disbelief... for the 4T lump, would have thought the handlebar would need changing, aren't they auto engines?

I would avoid the LML 4 stroke engines as I think LML are now finished, therefore there is probably going to be difficulty in obtaining spares, so stick to 2 stroke as there is a good availability of spares and they are easy to tune. Only down side is the 200cc 2t engines seem to go for crazy prices.

Ive got a LML 4t as my rally scooter ( Rally 200 for popping to shops ) . It's true they aint made any more , but a lot of generic service parts from other makes fit ( seals , filters, cables , gearbox / clutch components )
The geared version is basically a PX with a 4t engine ( headset exactly the same ) . Alledgedly a 4t engine will fit into a PX frame , but not a 2t into 4t frame . Some deals available on last run of LML 2t scooters around .
Biggest difference is the sound , for the first few weeks I had to keep revving mine up when stopped at lights because I couldn't hear it ticking over . I know a couple of lads locally with em and no major problems so far . Changed CDI , exhaust & air filter on mine for a little more performance . Check out LMLOCGB.co.uk for more info
