Folks,
Some possible advise please.
My last MOT indicated slight play (from 12-6 O'clock) on front wheel bearing.
Now need to get MOT again, as i have just realised it lapsed last week.
I have overhauled all bearings, seals, washers and Brake shoes etc. on front hub and plate to try an avoid any issues when I take it for an MOT.
On Refitting wheel and checking, there is still a slight bit of movement when wheel is checked and rocked from the 12-6 o'clock position.
Anybody came across this before ? any hints in the right direction would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Kenny

Anybody carried this out this type of repair in their garage without a press? How difficult is it to do ?
thanks.

You can also fit an extra standard bearing in the fork, I did that on my T5 Classic, the additional bearing pushes the existing one through into the void between the 2 races, so you get the support of 3 bearing races rather than 2.
I guess that beedspeed extra long does exact same thing.

Have done that before too in the past and still would if needed on my own scoot but was a bit wary writing it, as I seem to remember when (I think?) Gareth was the editor of scootering magazine he or one of the staff did the same but said it may? cause the bearings to wear quicker and fail in a possibly? more dramatic fashion? So opted for writing about the longer beedspeed bearings as they have sold them for years. As ever my memory in not as good as it once was!😳.

It was my local scooter shop who suggested it, not sure how it can be any more risky than a 2 bearing set up as you’re spreading the load over 3 bearings rather than 2, but hey, I’m not an engineer :-)
It is still going strong 10 years later ;-)
