Tried removing HT Lead off a Super, are the HT leads different to P range? It won’t unscrew or budge and there’s no longer anything to twist it, any ideas?

It hasn’t moved for years, does start after awhile and runs fine. The cap pulled straight off. Tried unscrewing it and won’t budge, not much left to grab and unscrew now as I tried pulling it out, hopefully I can get some around it to unscrew. Looks like the original CDI, hopefully just corroded on.

Maybe a drop of penetrating fluid to loosen it up. As far as I know it's only the post 2011 PX that has a sealed cdi HT lead everything else should unscrew.

Won’t unscrew, tried by hand and molegrips.. Doesn’t want to know, will have to order a new CDI. Anyone know what size the nut under the headlight? 6/7mm don’t fit.. 8mm doesn’t fit!

Removing the HT lead shouldn't take that amount of effort, probably as well to replace the whole unit

Ordered one, hopefully be here Saturday.. Looks like the original CDI unit but i think it was a cheap replacement, looked as if it was sealed as it wasn’t having any of it.

nut under headlight? , all i can think of there is the 2 screws that hold rim on an adjust headlight aim ,an the screw that holds speedo in . both prone to being stripped ,my guess is somebodys used a imperial hex head self tapper to fix it .if a 6/7/8mm wont fit i'd guess its a 1/4 imperial . H
