Cheers .

While people are walking in, I reckon, The Electric Wizard: the sun has turned to black. While the service is being "finished off", I reckon Send More Paramedics: Zombie crew. The lyrics are funny.... ๐

First song would be "Atmosphere" by Joy Division and then finally "Goodbye Cruel World" by Pink Floyd. Also "song to the siren" by This Mortal Coil, but I think i may be over-egging it a bit with 3 maudling songs !

Henri,I enjoyed "The Dead South" links never heard of them before, can't get the other links to work tho.
Have to say, when I was a political activist a years back, it was to try and give white trash like me and mine more say, now I'm older and wiser?๐, I agree, the self serving c##%s should be told ...

If it's anything like my dad's funeral they be no songs at all. At my dad's it was me, my mum and the bailiff sitting in the pews. I'll have p*shed off all my family by the time I pop my clogs so they can play and say what they want

H that's sad but I know what you mean. First wife's funeral I did all the talking graveside, no church service. Then played her favourite song, Little Green by Joni Mitchell (still can't listen to it now and that's 20 years ago) My dad owed a lot of people a lot of money and he'd screwed over all his mates time and time again, hence no-one to see him off When me and my mum went through all his loans (that he made my mum countersign) and ยฃ20k worth of capital gains tax, her only option was to sell their house and rent. She went to her grave debt free 3 years later but for those 3 years she had no money worries for the first time in her life

Henri, I agree with the comment about not being able to listen to songs again especially if it was someone real close. My best mate passed away aged at the ripe old age of 36 and his parents chose Bring Me Sunshine by Morcambe and Wise and then Always Look On The Bright Side of Life. Breaks my heart to hear them now which is horrible because they are great songs. Anyway when I do shuffle off I would have - In - The Fields of Anfield Road During - Waterloo Sunset by The Kinks Out - Brand New Start by Sir Paul of Weller
Kinda corny but I'll not care will I?
