Having a listen to this cd π, having flash backs to seeing the Jam playing live in 1980 at Edinburgh Playhouse, was a 15year old mod at the timeπ.It was MAGIC !!! The word on the street at the time of the above gig, was that fans of this local band π( Exploited barmy army !?) We're coming to "do" us all in. Never saw any of them, lol. Not listened to this cd in a long while, digging it today ! www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_nriE7w-dCjMQFnDyJACJCpw4C5QUwot9QMijβΊ

My mate came along to my house yesterday, to hear my new speakers ( he says he's well Impressed π,) He has a higher end system than me, it was him that found me my Cd player, anyway he's a fellow scooterist ,who own's five scoots and he's been a very, very good mate since first year in high school ( that was a fecking long time ago, as we're both 54 !!) He brought me 3 Cd's as a gift, this is the first one, having a listen to it the now, through the earphones, mellow man !π
Happy listening.

Im glad that your speaker cable gives you so much satisfaction!
Getting these things right is so important in achieving a "balanced" system.
My CD player is probably being held back by the amp, interconnects and speakers and cable. My next hi-fi purchase will be probably have to be an expensive one...........

Citydaz, the cable is working for me at the, moment. The 3D effect I'm hearing when I put my speakers in the center of my livingroom about 6 feet apart is unbelievable, it's like the band playing the music is actually there, a few feet behind the speakers, although I only listen to them in this position when I'm having a serious listen, even with the speakers positioned 50cm out from the wall the soundstage is very enjoyable.I have only noticed slight sibilance on one cd album from Nora Jones called Feels like home, though may be the way it is produced, so still have room for improvement. I have my eyes on a better set of interconnects too www.whathifi.com/chord-company/clearway-analogue-rca/review and better, more expensive speaker cable, possibly this ; www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-7m-new-QED-XT40-Speaker-cables-fitted-with-24k-4mm-Airlock-plugs-Save-73/292999680620?hash=item443824526c:g:PEMAAOSwhj9akWvp , or this: www.whathifi.com/chord-company/clearway/review but can see this hifi malarkey getting out of hand, as it did for me in the 1990's lol.My wish list also has a more expensive amp and cd player on it too and I've been researching music streamers and Dacs. The tweaking is on the verge of getting out of hand too, as I've been experimenting with filling my speaker stands to different levels, with sand and I've built a isolation platform for my Rega turntable out of a marble cutting board/ block?( That I used to tape wet and dry sand paper to, for lapping cylinder heads lol)and fitted it with adjustable spikes. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-Hi-Fi-or-Turntable-Isolation-Feet-Audio-Cones-Speaker-Spikes-Nickel-ISOFEE01/161549530209?epid=1526615331&hash=item259d1a3461:g:Kw4AAOSwwzhZUnfnWhere does it all stop? π MijβΊ

As my speakers can be bi wired and I'm only using one set of speaker cables at the moment, I'm trying another tweak I noticed what hifi magazine were using when the reviewed my speakers and after a hunt on the web, have found it called "diamond wiring".
Listening to the Travis album, The invisible band, on cd at the moment, not sure if it's my cup of tea, though.

Turns out, my Chromecast order above, got fecked up, so cancelled it and bought another set of these interconnects, the last set I fitted were 0.5m long, got the 1m length yesterday, running the 1m from Cd to amp and the 0.5 from Rega turntable to Rega phono stage at the moment. www.whathifi.com/chord-company/c-line/reviewHopefully my next purchase will be these ; www.whathifi.com/chord-company/clearway-analogue-rca/review . In the 1m length, they will then go from my Cd to amp and the 1m c-line cable mentioned above will be moved to the Rega phono stage to the amp, giving 0.5 C-cable from: turntable to phono stage and 1m C-,line cable from phono stage to amp, hopefully improving my turntable sound π. So it seems all my pocket money π, is going on my hifi at the moment and not scooters, that may change in later weeks and months, if I can be bothered doing all my scooter jobs needing seen to .It feels like the pain I'm in most days, is putting me off, hope this changes as the warmer weather comes. Just listening to Spandau Ballet's greatest hits with my wife, said to her, "I've never admitted to any of the scooter guys, that I think Tony has a great voice!.Think I like his voice ,because my Dad (RIP) used to sing all the crooner songs, in our house ,all the time and used to win quite a few singing competitions in the local clubs" anyway, that's it out now, only taken 30+ years πππππππ.

I do love a bit of a listen to The Jam and a lot of Paul's other stuff, have quite a few of their/his albums ,also have had his poster on the wall of my shed for years.
Just listened to The Jam's, The Gift album, takes me back to seeing them tour this album, @ the Edinburgh Playhouse in 1982,most memorable part of the gig was PW falling on his ar#e and nearly taking down a stack of amps/speakers, was 17 at the time and had been a Mod for 5 years ( yes,a year before Qudrophenia π±), lasted as a Mod for another year or two, till my mates in the scooter club and I ,all converted into scooterboys/ scooterists, while doing loads of National Rally's.
Now listening to this on cd π
