Citydaz, the cs929 conditioner came today (newer version didn't seem to have quite as good a review by What hifi) think mine is the same one you have?
Got 8 hours listening (burn) in time on my new AT95E cartridge and it's sounding better and better as the hours go by, so may wait to fit the conditioner after it's had a 40 hours listening/burn in.
Thanks again for the conditioner advice.

Soulboy73, sorry to hear your on your jack, life takes some funny (peculiar) turns.
Lots of great cheap hifi parts on eBay 😉.
I'm listening to Pink Floyd The Devision Bell on cd at the moment, 👇
My wife's babysitting at my daughter's and nextdoor is oot on the p*sh, got the music up loud and the difference the mains conditioner is making to the voice and sound stage is amazing and that's with a reasonable cd player and a cheap ( had it for years) Denon PMA-250SE amp and mission speakers.

Was here 👇today www.audioemotion.co.uk/My mate Jon was buying some new speaker cable, the make he wanted was out of stock but they said they could get it in five days, I told them every day is precious to Jon as he has terminal cancer, so the guy said wait a minute I see if we have 10 meters of something else that's good, he came back and said he had enough better cable and would fit it with gold speaker terminals? Gave him a special deal £35 should have been nearer £100 I think 👍. Jon gave me his old terminals and a brand new quality interconnect cable, after fitting these to my hifi, I decided to try my Tannoy M3 floorstanding speakers👇 www.whathifi.com/features/was-then-tannoy-mercury-m3-reviewwas getting right into them listening to Pink Floyd The Division Bell, when I heard a big bang outside, turns out a 27year old guy,not long passed his test reversed into my parked car and tried to drive away, anyway long story short, after him swearing at me and my Darlin', he ran away to his house after I (allegedly)said, I may😉 do bad things to him😉😉😱. £220 of damage to my car and getting a courtesy car delivered tomorrow. My what an eventful day lol. Mushroom (Dave), cheers for that, I've never ( touch wood) had to deal with insurers before but it's been quite painless so far and I hope it stays like that. Was a bit of a hassle getting all the details and whatnot that they needed, worse part was, I was going to take Jon back to get his cables after they were made up, but obviously couldn't, Luckily his old Ma was up to taking him for them.

Changing the "tone" of the thread back to where it started, (geddit?), Ive scored a major success with my daughter who is 11, she has just declared she wants to buy a record player - it will have to be a cheapo basic one, and some of "those black circle things" The Jam songs "Malice", "Underground" and "the train station".
Gonna have to keep my vinyl under lock and key from now on........

Just got a Litz wire tonearm rewire kit, it will be by far the thinnest wire I've ever soldered and it's encased in silk!, Also got some silver solder as it helps sound quality. Had I feeling when I got back into hifi, the tweaker would come out in me again, same as with my beloved Vespa Px scoots 😀.

Just spent a few hours fitting a new bias belt and uprating the the tonearm wires on my turntable, thought the hardest part would be the silver soldering of the fine wire but setting the bearing play was a nightmare, all done now tho, thank feck.😉 www.vinylengine.com/turntable_forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=49784Mij☺

a few mates and I even managed to blag our way into the the pictures ( movies for our USA cousins 😉) as 14 year olds, to see Quadrophenia, happy days 😀.

The vinyl LP I'm listening to today, is one my mate used to make me listen to when we were young (20ish year olds )and driving around in his Ford XR3 ( non-injection lol).At the time we were both right into the nationals, northern soul and had both been into scooters since we were 12year olds, ( we both still are into and have, scooters). It's amazing how music can bring back so many memories 😀 Must be getting old as I'm liking this now. 👇

Mushroom, think I first saw Exile at Dunbar rally 1984, blew my mind, loved/ love it.
I like scoots that have a lot of thought and engineering done to them, hence also loving Lower class and many more chops and cutdoons, I'm looking forward to getting stuck into my own cutdoon in the summer (health depending), can't decide on the handle bars to use, have beedspeed motorcycle type drops, rare MSC ace bar drops or PX disc drops to choose from.

Jim, I have a problem with drops, not with the look but riding in slow traffic I had ace bars on my CB250 and it made it unrideable through Brighton town centre, well that and someone had put amal carbs on it They made my wrists ache so bad

Mushroom, know where your coming from, nice bike, by the way 👌.
My cutdoon is from the late 1980's and originally had the beedspeed drops on ( which I still have) got a good deal on the MSC and EFL drops from mates that were too good to miss. Luckily I live in the sticks so to speak, so town and city driving will be minimal , also as it's a cutdoon street racer I feel it needs drops and it will just be used for the odd blast.
Ride safe. Jim☺

I love the look of drops on scoot street racers, but when you've got 18 stone leaning on your wrists it ain't comfortable If I was younger and lighter I'd have kept the old CB250, but sold it a few years back to a guy even older than me who was going to put it back to stock carbs and bars Got any pics of the cutdoon ?

Changing the conversation back to all things hi-fi related, I got the Who Live at fillmore east last week but havent had time to put in on my turntable yet. Ive listened to it on down load, but am hoping for an improved sonic experience on vinyl. Im currently decorating my living room so im moving my system and speakers around the room as I paint, needless to say the stereo separation isnt optimum!

Mushroom, will put photos up as I start the cutdoon project 😉. I'm hoping as a 16 stone light weight and possibly fitting a screen?( Cafe racer bike style, if MSC drops used) may help a little on the comfort front. Can you put a link up to the Sly and Robbie album please ?
Citydaz, hope you haven't spent all you money on the decorating and have left some for a turntable for your daughter 😉. Hope you get the hifi set to optimum soon.
