Got my first PX125 today, never riden a bike and plan to do the CBT on Monday. Any tips for getting started and making life a bit easier. I started the engine went into gear and almost crashed into the garden shed! Also can't get the seat up and into the fuel. Could it be the freeezing weather.

Nothing to do with the weather mate, the seat locates onto a post at the very end of the seat(rear) and sometimes if this becomes loose or is adjusted (this post is also used to secure rear racks / backrests etc) then it sometimes mis-aligns with the release catch and becomes stuck , you will just have to yank at it for all your worth then adjust it once you've got it up. As for the tips on riding well everbodys different and you'll just have to find your own way, just take it easy around bends keep a good safe distance and don't trust any fu*ker in a car!
Good luck Stevie.

but before you yank it, try the lock as it may be locked!

When you say you went into gear and nearly into the shed did you let the clutch out or did it lurch forward when you selected the gear? If it did just jump forward you may need to adjust the clutch cable.
