Hi all, wonder if anyone can tell me what the do and don'ts are for putting my px on its side please? fuel off i guess ,panels too? anything else? if i get a mate to hold and tilt is this do-able? any tips at all or what to avoid? I don't have an old mattress or anything to use but can maybe tilt onto grass in garden Thanks very much

Panels off. Fuel tap off. Lean over engine side. Carefully lower to the floor. I used to lay on my scoot jacket to save the engine.
Or, stick this number into eBay: 131967968854 Dependant what job you are doing, these are pretty helpful.

thanks...just what i'm planning to do... i need to get to floor around exhaust to remove / treat rust then paint so don't think i can with stand in place...on a ramp just now and still cant get full access so needs to be on side... cheers

One tip I was given was to place a plastic bag over the mouth of the fuel tank, then pop the fuel cap back on. Hasn't failed yet.
I use an old sleeping bag inside a bin liner to rest the scoot on when I'm taking wheels off etc, I'm guessing it would give you the access you need

as nico says placcy bag over fuel cap or it can leak from breather ,same for oil if its full-ish . an drive round the nearest local scum-bag estate,spot dumped sofa ,knick cushions an return when jobs done .H

made me laugh out loud there ironsloth... thanks to all for the plastic bag tips....i live in a scummy scheme anyway and just by chance the council are putting a skip at the bottom of the road as a "one day only amnesty" so i mebbe have a look

Mine quite naturally ends up on its side without any effort usually with me on the other side of the road Fuel off panels off and placcy bag in the filler laid down somewhere soft normally ok
